Fox Pool is a little under 4 acres in size and holds an impressive stock of around 150 carp, including a large number of fish over 30lb, around 30 carp over 40lb and three known 50lb fish.
The lake is home to a wide variety of mirrors and commons, including fully scaled mirrors, leather carp, zip linears, plated mirrors and large-framed commons, along with a small number of grass carp.
The lakebed is predominantly clay, with depths ranging from around 3ft in the shallower areas to approximately 11ft in the deeper water. Some silt is present in the deeper areas, while the central island regularly proves productive, with many anglers choosing to fish at least one rod towards it during their stay.

The lake contains very little weed, only a limited number of snags and no nuisance species such as poisson chat or crayfish, allowing anglers to fish comfortably and confidently throughout their stay.
